FUSE Search can boost a (or many) URL(s) with keywords to enable your users always find links that your association believe are the most relevant to their keyword. Boosting is a sure way to engage the community lingo and enhance common terms in the workplace.

How to add Boost URLs


Onboarding Spreadsheet

During your onboarding, we'd like to take care of everything from start to finish- that's what makes this experience turn-key. You can fill out the onboarding spreadsheet, providing the links and keywords. By default, we boost all results at 1000 the highest boosting level.

On your onboarding spreadsheet tab: Booster

 Follow the instructions in Row 3:
1. Provide indexed URLs to be boosted in column B.
2. Provide keyword(s) comma-separated

Admin Console (Beta)

Post onboarding, we are rolling out our beta Admin Console to our users, so you can make these changes independently. 

NB: You would need an admin console to make these changes, please reach out to support if you do not have access


1. Navigate to the menu tab and select Boosters

2. Click on the green add button to add a new boost.

3. Copy and paste the URL you are looking to boost (Note: This URL has to reindexed in your Search. You will receive an error if this link is not indexed. Looking to index a link not in your search? Try House Ads).
Set the boost to 10, 100, 1000 depending on how you want the link weighted in the search. We recommend 1000.

Add the keywords to be boosted and click save to create an entry. You can add multiple keywords to be used as boosted terms.

4. Hit save to complete the entry.

The changes are almost instantaneous. You can test by searching your keyword. The first 5 results should return the boosted link.

That's it! Please note this only works for already indexed content. If the content is not indexed, we might have a solution for you in House Ads.
